4.30.2015 (post-surgery)

Just saw the doctor. They went in and put some blocks in select veins to stop the blood flow temporarily so he's not hemorrhaging in his right glute.
They installed a drain that he will have to let the tumor fluid and excess blood drain into. He's got a lot of cramping and burning pain.
They will keep the drain in for two weeks and hope it will relieve the pressure and fluid so they can then do surgery on that tumor in his right glute that's wrapping around his sciatic nerve
If he keeps doing okay we will be leaving tomorrow just in time for his Ride for a Warrior fundraiser Saturday! We would LOVE to see those that can come and show some Love to our Super Hero!!

Surprise surgery/procedure #10
Clint's had a lot of nerve pain and has had muscle cramping.
His right glute has filled up since surgery two weeks ago. They are thinking he's bleeding internally causing pressure on the veins and compressing the tumor thats affecting his nerves.
They are doing a pelvic angiogram and going to try and drain the tumor and blood and to see if they can plug the vein that's causing the bleeding.
It's not a normal procedure and they won't operate anymore in this area so we are praying this 'out of the box' technique will work. ....
Wow we didn't know what we were planning on doing today.
After the doctor explained Clint started to cry.....
to hear the surgeon say that they won't go in and do traditional surgery in that area anymore because he is too high risk is scary.
I don't want it to be his bad. We can live with cancer but I can't live with cancer destroying my best friend...
I hate this. I hate cancer. I hate to see the one I love most in this world slowly tortured by this ugly disease
This new technique sounds like our only hope. I'm praying so hard it can help him
Please say extra prayers for Our Hero today

Another Famous Wyatt-ism:
"Mamma I wish Jesus could wipe my bum!"
As I reply chuckling
"Oh really? If he were here he would."
When Clint's cancer came back Wyatt was only 8 months old and it often left me asking how can I handle having a baby and dealing with Clint's cancer? But over the years God has showed us that we COULD NOT have done it without Wyatt!
He brings so much laughter, joy, and happiness to our life!

4.27.2015

We have been able to take Clint out on some fun field trips.
Since his surgery his nerve pain has flared up and hasn't subsided. They have increased his nerve pain medication but that takes a little while to see a difference.
I was working this weekend and Clint was planning on taking Wyatt to his baseball game.
About 20 minutes before the game I got a text from Clint saying he had a really bad headache and was nauseous and what should he do? (That is NOT normal Clint to say he actually couldn't do something) I hurried and called a neighbor who picked up Wyatt to take him to the game and then I called Neiska to tell her to watch Daddy he want feeling good.
As I sat there and worked and worried about 30 minutes later I got a text from Clint saying he was better and he was at the game. I quickly texted
"Wow are you okay!?"
I sat there with a smile on my face and gratitude in my heart as I read his next text
"I took some Tylenol and said a prayer."
We are so grateful God is easing our burdens and answering our little prayers!
Thank you for your prayes and love!! And remember God DOES hear your prayers!!

Clint's been feeling down since he hasn't been feeling as good as he thinks he should. So Wyatt and I have been taking him on field trips every day!
We are going to have Clint rest a couple more weeks before we decide what next step we are going to take....
